Duties:
Pivotal Transformations, a leader in Gender Diversity and Business Training is seeking a Director of Marketing and Business Development responsible for developing and implementing a marketing strategy and expanding business to business relationships. This position is responsible for organizational marketing, branding, messaging, sales, media relations, web management and e-communications.
Responsibilities:
Marketing and Business Development: Develops and recommends an annual plan for Marketing and Business Development outlining objectives, plans, and specific activities to be pursued. Writes communication materials including, but not limited to, press releases, media advisories, op-ed pieces, blog entries, client communication, and white papers. Develops and implements communication and media strategies that successfully deliver key messages and information to the public, elected officials, supporters and clients. Attend various conferences, represent the organization and speak on the organizations behalf. Implements a cohesive and strategic plan for use of Web and social media technologies. Updates organizational Web site, blog, Facebook page, Twitter account, and others to keep fresh, newsworthy content accessible to current and prospective supporters. Manages e-communication to e-news list, clients, and others on a regular basis.
Qualifications:
Candidate must possess outstanding interpersonal skills and personal presentation abilities, excellent written and verbal communications and 'customer first' demeanor, strong sales skills and an ability to positively influence others. Individual must be disciplined to work with minimal supervision, able to easily grasp concepts and ideas and a drive to see projects through to the desired endstate.
Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university in business and/or marketing required. Military service may substitute for educational requirements. Recent graduates strongly encouraged to apply. Acceptance of diversity and ability to work respectfully with variety of clients and members of the community that may be resistant to the message and mission of the organization is required. Individual need not be in the geographic vicinity of Tampa, but ability to travel is required.
